Dear Comrades,

New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (NKPJ) and the Young Communist League of Yugoslavia (SKOJ) notify you that the judicial process against the first secretary of the SKOJ and member of the Secretariat NKPJ comrade Aleksandar Đenic scheduled for 21 January 2015 in Belgrade.

On that day in Belgrade, in solidarity, NKPJ, SKOJ, Student Front and other progressive organizations, starting at 11 am, will rally in support of Aleksandar Đenic. NKPJ and SKOJ invites all sisters communist and workers’ parties and youth organizations to organize demonstrations in the Wednesday January 21, 2015, in front of the Serbian embassy in their respective countries because of the judicial process against comrade Đenic or give other solidarity actions. Please, provide us with information and photos of demonstrations over the judicial process against comrade Đenic and other solidarity actions that will be held.

The Serbian Interior Ministry bring a criminal complaint filed against comrade Đenic for alleged “attack” on two members of the notorious clerical-fascist group “Serbian action”. The truth is quite different, comrade Đenić in company of his girlfriend, on this occasion was exposed to assault, insults and provocations of two street thugs, who had them before but one, true unsuccessfully, intoxicated attacked. Faced with a certified bullies comrade Đenić was forced to act preventively in self-defense as one of the attackers caused minor injuries. Then came the police, who arrested the comrade Đenic and on the testimony of two clerical fascists who caused the incident against him launched a criminal complaint.

NKPJ and SKOJ of the opinion that it is a classic persecution of comrade Đenic, at the time of the first secretary of the Student Front (SF) organization that has had the most active role in the Belgrade student protests of 2014 (which is why he was targeted by fascist thugs), by the bourgeois regime in Serbia. Criminal charges for “attack” is completely untenable because the comrade Đenić faced a numerically superior to him and hostile members of the “Serbian action”. It is quite clear that the comrade Đenić been attacked and that the incident caused the members of the “Serbian action,” according to which the first secretary of the SKOJ acted in self defense. NKPJ and SKOJ strongly protest because of the intention of the bourgeois regime that is of loathsome fascist attackers judicial farce real victims.

For all these reasons NKPJ and SKOJ seek to criminal charges against comrade Đenic be rejected, as well as to sanction perpetrators to this and all other attacks on members of the SKOJ and progressive students.
